20 point hoop locked down! No need for any Keeping help. I doubt Booker will take 28% odds at a long shot (This is the power of leaving people with a lingering 1 IP. It's not enough to rest but it discourages hard actions). If they want 10s they can have 'em. Chase and Beat away!!

All 3 of them are at -1 already, so no need to Club anyone, just Bludger beat. I'm not sure what Sharlot should do because I want her to stick to Easy actions. Maybe she'll take 10 point shot if you can luckily bludger beat all 3 of them.

Since they may target me this period, for the reasons Vester mentioned; I should spread out my Chases in case they locked down a goal like we did. With them beaten up slightly and the 20 point locked down, it's a good time to spread that lead!

"Great job, Sharlot!"
Ginger patted her head playfully and turned to address the team.
"With Walltur and Booker on the ropes I think I should focus on getting a few hits in to Charlie and possibly Quinn. They're almost sure to rest this round but she's been doing a decent amount of damage and stopping her streak now may be worth it to get you guys ahead a little. Charlie has been plodding along looking for that snitch and I think we can afford to wail on him a little now rather than later. Thoughts?"

PERIOD 3
Nice work Flobberworms! We're a solid 60 points up but we have to remember that if they grab the snitch and chase 30 more points than us in a period they can still win, so we have to maintain that gap. We've got a huge advantage since both of their shooters are injured, which should cost them each a rest action.
Do we want to maintain our no-snitch strategy so Sharlot can focus on Beating? Or should Sharlot try and end the game now with a couple searches (and I could use my last action to search) and end with a seek?
To maintain the gap, do we want to play heavy defense, OR counter any goals they score by playing heavy offense against their likely unattended goal?
With the point gap increasing, I think they are likely to repeat the same strategy of Booker Assissting, so that the others can shoot 30 pointers (They all have some sort of Chase bonus already). My guess is they will abandon beating and make Quinn an additional Chaser.

"Agreed, I think on my end I need to wail on Quinn. I think the safest route is to search and seek between yourself and Sharlot, and defend whatever we can while I try to hobble Quinn and if I have an extra action, hit Charlie."
Ginger thought for a moment and added, "If they only need to find the snitch and score thirty points or so (assuming we fail ours, worst case), I think it's most likely they will aim for the easy hoop a few times and possibly the medium hoop. There's no benefit I think to them going for the higher point hoops if they're trying to end it easily, especially since most of their best scoring members are injured. I think we should defend those most heavily."

Ginger, another option we can consider is having you also Keep. This could guarantee us maintaining the point gap in case we don't catch the snitch.
The disadvantage of beating Quinn is that if she does continue to beat (and not chase), then any damage you give her will only affect her in the 4th period.

Fair enough, I hadn't considered Keeping since my main focus has been on Beating. I only have +2 but between the two of us, we may be able to Lock-Down all three goals... unless we really fall on our faces. Want to go that route? You've got better odds, so if you want to give that a go, I'll pick up anything you miss if I can and if somehow I have an extra action I can hit someone.

I highly doubt they will go for 10 pointers when they are behind by 60 and they have an Assist feat to increase their skills.

Fair enough, I like to spread the defense. They seem a little ruffled by you predicting their behavior so well, might make them go wildcard. But if I'm not going to lock-down, do you want me to just try to block it?
As for Sharlot, I think we should go for it. Let's end things if we can with a lead.

I think I spotted sparkly! Should I go for the catch?
(Odds are 21% if she takes no IP. Or is it better to search again and set up for a 4th period grab? Is it even worth catching in the 4th period if we can maintain our lead? I think we should go for the catch. Let me know what you guys think.)

I say go for it, worst case we can probably get it next round anyway. I didn't do well on the Medium hoop, I'm gonna try for it again.

Seems I'm late to the party, but the solid Keeping rolls should help us maintain the lead. They have me knocked down by 2 IP, so maybe it's worth a rest action before going back to Chasing? It's the difference between a 36% or 21% chance of getting the 16+ required for a 30P shot.
I get the feeling that because they beat up Vester twice in a row; they'll do the same to me this round. If that's the case I may want to save the Rest and just go for low-scoring goals this round; and heal up on round 4. Thoughts?

Either rest now or commit to not resting for the remainder of the game to use all your actions. If you rest later, then you're taking the Injury Penalty now AND losing an action later on. I recommend resting now because this game is likely to go into a 4th period.
